Curt Sheller

Curt started guitar at 9 and has been too stubborn to give it up. Stick with anything long enough and you tend to get good at it. Hook up with the right teacher and mentors and get really good.

In the summer of 2003, Curt fell in love with the ukulele and all its possibilities. His journey exploring the ukulele began on a CampFire USA trip to South Dakota planned by his wife, Bernadette. He had searched the Internet for a small travel guitar to bring along and rediscovered the ukulele instead – after a twenty year break.

With his re-introduction to the ukulele after that 20 year break and taking advantage of his jazz guitar skills, Curt began pursuing the potential of the ukulele. Researching the field he saw very little material organized at a level that works for intermediate to advanced players. Curt has developed an international reputation as a ukulele expert having written over 30 books and over 600 lessons for the ukulele and 10 plus books for guitar. Check out my www.LearningUkulele.com web site for his author and educator side of a being professional musician.
