Stuart Fuchs has been introducing people to their natural musician for nearly two decades. Stuart is a lifelong musical, a multi instrumentalist with roots in classical, latin and gypsy jazz guitar stylings. Stuart is the creator of “Ukulele Zen”, a holistic approach to the ukulele and cultivating an ever more joyful and deepening music practice. Stuart has presented Ukulele Zen other innovative & holistic music workshops at retreat centers and music ukulele festivals across the US and Canada. His playful and heart centered teaching style creates an atmosphere where workshops produce insights and memorable experiences.
In his concerts, Stuart balances virtuosity, humor and heart on his classical guitar, ukulele, Native American flute & didjeridoo. Stuart is committed to a compassionate and holistic vision of music education and has taught and led clinics for all ages - from pre-K through college. He has arranged and performed the gypsy jazz guitar music of Django Reinhardt for full symphonic orchestras and was featured on PRI’s "The World” with his award winning gypsy jazz band “Babik”. In 2014 Stuart was awarded a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts for his work bringing healing music to cancer patients at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, where he was an artist in residence for over seven years. He is an endorsing artist with Kala Ukuleles and currently tours internationally with the world renowned new age kirtan artist Snatam Kaur.
