Who says you can’t play slide on a ukulele?
Learn best practices for playing slide on your uke, what slides work best and what tunings work well. We will learn a simple 12 bar blues song on our ukuleles, as well as a few simple licks.
Please Note: This class will require the attendee to bring their own slide. A slide can be purchased at a local music store, Amazon, or from one of our friendly vendors at the Soirée!
Melissa recommends a slide made from glass, ceramic or metal. It should be a size that fits your ring or pinky finger comfortably - meaning not too long or wide. In general, too long is no good because the ukulele only has four strings while the width is determined by the size of the individual's finger.
