OK, you've just learned a new tune. The first question that pops up is "How do I start it?" soon after, the next question arrives, "How do I end it?" This class is all about answering those important questions. We will discuss the reasons for vamps, turnarounds, and intros/ outros.
Vamp: a chord progression that happens at the beginning of the performance. You can use it to get in the groove, establish the tempo, etc.
Feel a little stuck inside the ukulele box? Want to bring some unique flair to your performance? Want to know how performers get their confidence? Mim has had the opportunity to perform with unique artists from around the world. Coming from outside the "ukulele world" they often bring unique insights on what it takes to be a performer, how to hone your craft, how to interact with crowds, and how to think outside the box!

Always a great gathering of the ukulele community…a lot to learn and a lot of fun doing it!
An outstanding festival for ukulele players, both beginners and experienced. The ability to interact face-to-face with the amazing guest performers, other uke players, and vendors was invaluable.
The Soirée should win an award for the best organized ukulele festival!
The Soiree is a great program to attend. It is well organized, with a great deal of expertise, thoughtful planning and reasonable fees. Well seasoned presenters make the sessions productive and organized!
