For 10 years, out of college, Bob Tigert worked in the music business, writing, playing, producing and doing Live Sound across North America; but he realized that the Music Biz was NOT going to be a positive influence on building a secure future for his growing family. So, 1987, Bob founded a video production company that eventually won over 70 national and international awards, and took him to 60+ countries on 4 continents.
At the Turn of the Millennium, Bob returned to music on a semi-professional basis, playing bass and guitar in several bluegrass bands and producing multiple albums and numerous single projects… one of which introduced him to the power and versatility of the ukulele.
He has since released multiple albums with "Bob's Your Uncle" and as a solo artist, and now with The Webb-Tigert Ukulele Duo, a remarkable and much in-demand partnership with Lisa Webb, playing across the United States. PLUS, they have just been invited to play at the 2024 Vienna International Ukulele Festival.
Ukulele Magazine's review of Tigert's "BT SOLO" CD project describes his playing style as “bold and assertive, and there’s variation a’plenty in his strumming and fingerpicking technique. The man can play!”
His teaching and workshop efforts are based upon his "Plays Well With Others" concept that explains how to re-think specific disciplines of Preparation, Practice and Performance as integrated parts of a musician's betterment.
"I play Lanikai ukuleles on-stage and in the studio because they are not just premium quality instruments, but also they are completely reliable and built with the pro player in mind."
Highly recommended. This year was my first, I will be back and I will bring more people with me next year!

Always a great gathering of the ukulele community…a lot to learn and a lot of fun doing it!
An outstanding festival for ukulele players, both beginners and experienced. The ability to interact face-to-face with the amazing guest performers, other uke players, and vendors was invaluable.
The Soirée should win an award for the best organized ukulele festival!
The Soiree is a great program to attend. It is well organized, with a great deal of expertise, thoughtful planning and reasonable fees. Well seasoned presenters make the sessions productive and organized!
