Volunteering @ the Soirée
The Soirée is growing and we could use your help! Our core Soirée team has reached it's capacity and we feel it's time to ask the Soirée community to help us out with some aspects of putting on the Allegheny Ukulele Soirée.
What We Are Asking of You
We need volunteers willing to commit to at least 8 hours of time during the festival weekend. Volunteer shifts will be scheduled in blocks of 2 hours. Shifts could be scheduled from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon. We will work with you to maximize your workshop time and around your travel plans.
Possible volunteer roles include:
- Registration Check-in
- Concert/workshop Usher
- Meal Break Usher
- Chair Straightening
- Artist Assistance
- General Gopher (go fer this; go fer that)
- Workshop Liason
Volunteers will not handle money in any capacity (selling tickets, merch, raffles, etc).
What We Can Do For You
For accepted volunteers, we will refund you 50% of your registration fee (to be refunded after the festival). We also will do our best to ensure you can attend your preferred workshops. Volunteers will also receive some special acknowledgements as a token of our appreciation.
Aside from fulfilling your assigned roles/tasks, your time at the Soirée is yours! All roles will be assigned ahead of the festival so that you can plan around your volunteer shifts.

- Volunteers are known to be reliable and of good character (as an unofficial representative of the festival, you need to put your best foot forward)
