Highly recommended. This year was my first, I will be back and I will bring more people with me next year!
April 25-27, 2025
Curt Sheller's primary focus since 2003 has been performing jazz and contemporary music using the ukulele as his principal instrument, as well as presenting workshops and performing at various ukulele festivals throughout the year.
Having been a serious student of music and jazz in particular, as well as having studied contemporary music and the music business with world renowned master musician Chuck Anderson for over thirty years, Curt brings a wealth of music knowledge and experience to the ukulele world and have guided, taught and coached many ukulele players with their journey exploring the ukulele and music in general.
In addition to writing, performing, recording and presenting workshops, Curt maintains a busy private teaching schedule of 50 to 60 students a week on various instruments, mainly the ukulele and guitar. In December 2015, he released his second CD, and first featuring the ukulele as the lead instrument, titled — How About More Uke?. The CD features the Curt Sheller Jazz Trio. Using the ukulele, bass and drums trio format, they explore instrumental music with a focus on jazz, improvisation, and contemporary music using the ukulele as the primary lead instrument.

Always a great gathering of the ukulele community…a lot to learn and a lot of fun doing it!
An outstanding festival for ukulele players, both beginners and experienced. The ability to interact face-to-face with the amazing guest performers, other uke players, and vendors was invaluable.
The Soirée should win an award for the best organized ukulele festival!
The Soiree is a great program to attend. It is well organized, with a great deal of expertise, thoughtful planning and reasonable fees. Well seasoned presenters make the sessions productive and organized!

The Allegheny [Ukulele] Soirée is a ukulele smorgasbord...something for every age, talent level, social class...my friends are there
This festival is well run, feels intimate, and really helped grow my skills and push me to be a better player. I love the teaching artists, and the jams were fun!
